How It All Started
The Big Man Designs was born from a simple frustration — and a big dream shared by two brothers.
Ron and Steve were both big guys who were tired of the same story: when you needed something that actually fit, it cost a fortune and was nearly impossible to find. So they decided to do something about it. Together, they set out to build a brand that celebrated people of all sizes and made custom, quality goods accessible to everyone.
They divided and conquered. Ron was going to handle embroidery, the website, and bring the creative vision to life. Steve would take on shirts, woodworking, and cups. Two brothers, one mission.
Carrying It Forward
Then Ron got cancer. And he passed away.
It would have been easy to let the dream go with him. But Steve and the family made a decision — they would carry it forward. For Ron. For the community he loved. For everyone who deserved something made just for them.
The Big Man Designs lives on, and so does Ron's spirit. In fact, we named our embroidery machine after his nickname — Hoss. Every stitch it makes is a little piece of him.
What We Stand For
We're a Texas brand built on brotherhood, family, and community. We make custom apparel, tumblers, spirit wear, and gifts — not just because it's a business, but because it means something. Every order we fill is a chance to celebrate a moment, honor a person, or bring a community together.
